Congratulations @basilmabraham,

Welcome to the Fiesta club. You will surely not regret the decision. Was the year end offer the main stimulant for going for the Fiesta or had you planned it before?

Also are you planning to get soem additional stuff like scuff plates etc. the choice of colour is absolutley fantastic.

Thanks for the good wishes.

I had decided on the Fiesta for some time. Was waiting for new launches, but none enticed me like the Fiesta on a VFM as well as FTD aspect. The year end discount was the cherry on the cake. I have no plans for extras now, but you never know.

How I wish i could buy a Fiesta or a T-Jet.
(Could have bought a Fiesta but the prospect of a new one looming large didn't help much, though there were discounts pegged at Rs. 71,000 though. And if I took the plunge would have to buy one w/o ABS-Airbags, so...

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Hi People!!

After reading through a lot of review for a hatchback at Team-bhp, with a very restricted budget, I have booked a Chevy Spark LT (top model without ABS & Aigbags) Velvet Red colour. I think the discount season in December gave me a decent deal.

I am expecting the delivery in the next 15 - 20 days. I chose the Chevy over Alto K10 and Wagon R which were tough contenders till the end

What I liked in the Spark is the Rich feel in the cabin ( and a silent one at that) and excellent quality of interiors as compared to Alto and Wagon R.

Hoping that GM service will not prove me wrong on my choice.

The details are as under:

Make : Chevrolet
Model : Spark
Variant : LT
Booking Date : 19th Dec 2010
Color : Velvet Red (My wifey's choice, I preferred the corporate grey sorts.)
Expected Delivery Date : in next 15-20 days
Dealer & City : Nikhil Automobiles, Navi Mumbai
Freebies : Auto Cop, Streeing cover, floor Mats
Others : Discount of Rs. 39000 + 3 years zero maintenance.

Will continue in the initial Ownership review once I have the vehicle delivered.

Cheers!!!

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : Maruti
Model : Wagon R
Variant : Vxi ABS
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : 16-Dec-2010
Color :Breeze Blue
Expected Delivery Date : 23-Dec-2010
Dealer & City : Khivraj, Chennai
Freebies : Rs 20000 discount + Full flooring + Car Cover + Sun film + fabric seat cover
Others : None
OTR: 4.60 lakhs

If you go back this thread a bit, you would have seen details of my Ford Figo booking but had to cancel it after sometime (long story).

This car was my wife's choice and since we will be using it mostly as a city car, I think it is a sensible choice.

Congrats, welcome to Spark club. You are correct interior quality is leagues ahead comparing to Maruti. I have red LT and already clocked around 20000 KM. Check my garage for few minor mods done on interior and exterior.
