On Road Cost : 3,31,500/- INR
Congratulations to your brother.
BTW: Sehgal motors guys are still learning. Do not expect a very smooth delivery.
Also, please check the breakup of the costs that they give and the final amount that you pay. I got Rs. 2000 back from them after they failed to demonstrate how the numbers add up.
It is nice to see discounts on a Maruti (especially at the entry level models). Makes them more VFM IMHO.

Thanks for the heads up. They have already made a mistake in the loan amount. SBI released a cheque of higher amount than we asked for, due to "slight" miscommunication between dealer and bank. So we will get the refund cheque soon.

When I asked for PDI before registration, he was like "Sir, you dont need to be worried about Alto model. Its THE highest selling car in India (sounded more like Universe).etc...". But, we TBHPians, dont leave a stone unturned. So we will get to see our Alto800 tomorrow at their Bavdhan stockyard.

By the way, the Grey colour was finalized based on the choice of bro's wife ()). The delivery will be done on Wednesday, 3rd July.

EDIT: We pondered upon upgrading our booking to VXI, but honestly, its not really a top-end model. They should have added Remote Lock, Alloy wheels, Fog lamps to make it a proper top-end model IMO. So we are sticking to the LXi variant with the following MGA accessories:
1) Art-leather seat covers
2) Remote lock
3) LHS ORVM
4) Ganesh idol
5) Rear Spoiler (My bro wants this desperately)

Surprisingly, the dealer is throwing in the body-side moulding for free, out of nowhere.

Congrats Ghodlur sir. Any specific reason in shifting from Fiesta 1.6 to Punto MJD? The reason I am asking is, even I am planning to let go of my 2010 Fiesta 1.6 due to long clutch travel!

Thanks Prodigy
2 Specific reasons:
1) Increased running - Petrol wasnt suiting
2) Parking woes - In city, at housing complex(more).
An opportunity to write in this thread a bonus.

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

After tons of research, test-drives & emotionally charged arguments at home - I've finally managed to find a new home for my trusted 2006 Safari, and am now waiting for the delivery of my brand new Renault Scala in the next few days!!

Will post more details later, but wanted to extend a great shout out to the team-bhp forum, for being the go-to place on info on both selling the old car, and on points for pro-con debates

Love you guys!

I do expect to become more active on team-bhp, once I begin a new chapter of my driving life with the Scala.

Thanks Shiva that was useful (if i remember right you received a better discount later because of delivery delays from their side?). I was wondering if i got a good deal, looks like price is almost the same even after a year. VW have been very hard to negotiate with, despite the slowdown in the industry nobody is willing to offer better prices, i pitted multiple VW dealers and Hyundai & Renault dealers against each other and this was the best i could get.

Dealer & City : VW Palace Cross, Bangalore
Freebies & Discounts: 15K Corporate Discount + Free insurance + Floor mats + 25ltr Diesel + 3M Polishing coupon + 3k off Registration amount
OTR Cost : 19.76L
