Update : Guys the colour has changed to Silver and yes sadly the discounts are not applicable to us poor souls who buy from the CSD . so 25000/ ka patka extra. For those who don't know , the price ex CSD Pathankot is 1368820 and Ex CSD Ahmedabad is 1303000 so a price differential of 65000 is there.

Dealer and city : Apple (Whitefield) Volkswagen

Had parents sit in the neighbors polo and Figo, both felt comfortable in Polo, so booked it.
Congrats on the booking. Would they be driving it or will a driver be driving? If they will be driving, are they ok with the heavy clutch that the Polo diesel comes with?

Thanks Aman, the car will be driven by the driver and myself. Leaving them just to enjoy the nice ride!

Not to demoralise or anything, The Polo is among the worst in terms of rear space. Are your parents very sure, they felt more comfortable in the back especially since they are always going to be chauffered.

I myself was not in favor of Polo for them, hence made them sit in the Figo, i10, Swift and Polo. They chose polo. What I noticed is:
1. it was very to get in and out for them compared to the other 3.
2. Mom felt it very safe.
3. Interiors are more classy compared to bling and boring of others.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

I have booked a Ford Figo Aspire 1.5L DSL Titanium in Silver yesterday... expecting delivery of my car within a week.

Considered, S-Cross, Baleno, City & Amaze, Verna, Ciaz, Baleno, Ecosport & Duster.

Nexa dealers were worst in dealing with... probably too spoiled with the footfall & weird selling strategies. Honda (fake pride in City & Jazz) & Hyundai (no deals on Creta & i20 elite/ Active) followed Nexa but were only a bit better. Same with Ford (Ecosport ), Renault never cared for a minion who is ready to throw INR10 lcas (maybe a bit more after haggling) on the table... obviously Maruti were the best. But got the best deal & treatment in case of Aspire, also considering the fact that the model is barely few months in market, i.e. the product lifespan.

Have serious problem of parking at my office (primary reason), & was INR200K cheaper than Ciaz ZDI, which sealed the deal in it's favour.

On a parting note, it is disheartening to note that Honda built quality felt poorer than Maruti's. Hyundai is noticeably better than both, & Fort... err Ford still bests them all with their lightest offering.

Will spend the remaining INR200K next time .

Congratulations on booking the best diesel in India - No other car gives you performance, mileage and VFM in one single package.

And considering the eagerness of Ford to do well in India, the Aspire might just work out cheaper to maintain than the Maruti Ciaz.

I too have a silver Aspire and trust me - it's a breeze to park this car.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : Ford
Model : Figo
Fuel : Diesel
Variant : Trend
Colour : Oxford White; Smoke Grey
Booked on : November 09, 2015
Expected in : first week on December
Booked from : Bhagat Ford, Panchkula, Haryana
Anything given for free : nothing
Other : Saw the free insurance offer on Figo, but in the fineprint, it was applicable only for titanium and above variants. Should I delay the delivery date in anticipation of some offer on the trend variant? Also, the dealer is asking 2000 rupees up and above the registration charges as "khilane peene ka paisa", is it true?

I would suggest you to shell out a bit more and go for the Titanium. The ABS is well worth the extra dough. After the free insurance, the difference between the two wouldn't be much. But trust me you will thank yourself later for going in for Titanium.

Recently, fellow bhpian karan561 bought a Figo Diesel Trend variant but he's now feeling that he should have gone for the Titanium. Recommended the same to him before the purchase too. You too have a chance

Agree with Amansanc, If you have the budget extend it to Titanium or T+

Normally I never buy cars which are top-end but, first time I made an exception as the price vs. features offered seemed really VFM ( especially the 6 airbags in T+ was like a deal closure)

Trend and below variant only if your on a tight budget.

Goodluck !!!
