10,000th vehicle rolls off Isuzu's assembly line in SriCity

Isuzu Motors India reached a production milestone as the 10,000th vehicle - a D-Max V-Cross, rolled off the production line at SriCity, Andhra Pradesh.

Isuzu has been producing the D-Max V-Cross, MU-X, D-Max S-Cab and Regular Cab models at its SriCity plant since April 2016. The first model to be produced here was a D-Max V-Cross. The plant also serves as a manufacturing hub for export markets like Nepal and Bhutan. Earlier, Isuzu cars were built at the Hindustan Motors facility near Chennai. 

In March 2018, the carmaker also crossed the cumulative sales of 10,000 units in India. These include models built at the Chennai plant.

Isuzu Motors India Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan. It was established in August 2012. The SriCity plant is spread of over 107 acres and was built to have an initial production capacity of 50,000 units, which can be scaled up to 1,20,000 units.
