10th-gen Honda Civic caught testing in India

View Forum Discussion

A heavily camouflaged test mule of the tenth-generation Honda Civic was recently spotted in Noida. It is expected to be imported into India via the CKD route and could be launched sometime next year.

Earlier this year, the Honda Civic received a mid-life update. The car sold in the international market gets a piano black grille flanked by LED headlights and a redesigned front bumper with chrome inserts and a tweaked rear bumper. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the new model comes with an updated 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In India, the new Civic is expected to be offered with two engine options - 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual, 9-speed automatic and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
