2015 Mahindra XUV500 to be launched in Australia?

Mahindra just launched the refreshed XUV500 in India and along with it, launched a new top end variant i.e. the W10. While sales in India have commenced, Mahindra is expected to launch the W8 variant of the SUV in Australia as well. The new W10 is also under consideration for the market. The top end variant adds features such as a sunroof with anti-pinch, logo projection lamps on the ORVMs, push button start/stop, a voice messaging system and brake energy regeneration among others.

The outgoing model of the XUV500 saw its Australian launch in 2012. The XUV500 is powered by a 2.2L, VGT diesel engine that makes 138 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1,600-2,800 rpm. The power is transmitted to either two or four wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The specifications of the SUV may differ in the Australian market.
