Toyota will be launching the next-gen Fortuner in India on November 7. Before its official country debut, the 2016 Fortuner has started reaching dealerships across the country. And with multiple images coming in, a few features of the highly awaited SUV have also surfaced.

Toyota is expected to launch the 2016 Fortuner in 6 variants: 4x2 Petrol Manual, 4x2 Petrol Auto, 4x2 Diesel Manual, 4x2 Diesel Auto, 4x4 Diesel Manual, 4x4 Diesel Auto. It is interesting to see that Toyota is offering the automatic gearbox with every drive setup available, unlike other automakers that don't provide choice of trims for ATs.

Images coming in from various dealerships across the country also suggest that there will be two alloy wheel designs on offer. Toyota will likely equip the 4x2 models with 17-inchers, while the 4x4 variants are expected to get 18-inch wheels. Reportedly, the 4x2 variants come with All Terrain tyres while the 4x4 trims are shod with Highway Terrain rubber.

Some feature details revealed include rear disc brakes, LED headlamps, and electric tailgate with memory function. However, rear diff lock has been eliminated from the Indian-spec model.

Another major update about the Fortuner states that Toyota won't bring the smaller-capacity, 2.4-litre diesel to India. Hence, the only two engines on offer will include the 2.8-litre GD diesel and the 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol.

Further details will be revealed after the SUV's November 7 launch.
