2017 Maruti Swift Dzire - interiors revealed in new spy shots

Earlier this week, we had posted a couple of spy shots of the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, which offered a clear look at the exterior design of the car. Now, a new set of images has surfaced, revealing details of the vehicle's interiors.

According to the new spy shots, the 2017 Dzire will continue to get a dual-tone interior treatment, similar to what is found in the current model. However, the entire cabin layout has been given some comprehensive updates. The dashboard does take slight inspiration from the new-gen Swift, though it gets new, angular centre AC vents as compared to the circular ones found on the hatchback.

The centre console features a large touchscreen infotainment system that looks similar to the Smartplay unit found in the Baleno, S-Cross and Ciaz. This system is likely to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is likely to support navigation as well as a rear camera.

The steering wheel is an all-new leather-wrapped three-spoke unit that gets wooden inserts. It also gets thumb contours. The controls for the infotainment system have been integrated on the left spoke of the wheel. Behind the steering wheel is a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID screen in the middle.

Powering the new-gen Dzire will be the same engines that are found in the current model. These include a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit and a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel powerplant. While a 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard with both these engine options, an automatic gearbox is expected to be offered in some select variants.
