2018 Bajaj Dominar launched at Rs. 1.42 lakh

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced the launch of the 2018 Dominar. The bike is now offered with Gold Dust alloy wheels and three new colour options - Rock Matte Black, Canyon Red and Glacier Blue. The 2018 Bajaj Dominar is priced at Rs. 1,42,109 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs. 1,56,270 for the ABS version.

The Dominar is based on a beam type perimeter frame with 43 mm telescopic front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike measures 2,156 mm in length, 813 mm in width and 1,112 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,452 mm and it weighs 182 kg (kerb weight). The Dominar comes with a 13-litre fuel tank.

In terms of styling, the 2018 Dominar is identical to the outgoing model. It comes with an LED headlamp, an LCD instrument panel covered by a cowl and gets a short windshield on the top. The bike features a low-slung seat and a split rear grab handle. The frame, engine and exhaust muffler are painted in black.

The 373.3 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine has been carried over unchanged. It makes 34.5 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch. Brakes come in the form of 320 mm and 230 mm discs at the front and rear respectively. The bike is also offered with twin-channel ABS on both wheels. The Dominar rides on 110/70 section front and 150/60 section rear tyres shod on 17-inch alloy wheels.
