The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander has started reaching dealerships, while test drive vehicles are likely to reach showrooms by next week. Bookings are now open and the prices are expected to start at around Rs. 32 lakh (ex-showroom, Jaipur). Deliveries will commence in June 2018.

The Mitsubishi Outlander measures 4,695 mm in overall length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,710 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm and 190 mm of ground clearance. Fuel tank capacity is 60 litres.

The new model features revised exterior styling. It comes with Mitsubishi's "Dynamic Shield" front fascia and a dual-tone front bumper. The chrome grille is flanked by a set of new sweptback headlamps. The rear features a raked windshield with a spoiler on top, chrome rear garnish and a silver scuff plate on the bumper.

The Outlander gets all-black interiors with piano black and chrome trims and can seat up to 7 people. It gets a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 6.1 channel Rockford Fosgate audio system. Other features include automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, rain sensing wipers, keyless go, sunroof, power adjustable driver seat and rear view camera. However, it misses out on features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or embedded Navigation.

In India, the Outlander is powered by a 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 165 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 222 Nm of torque @ 4,100 rpm and is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with paddle shifts. It gets adaptive all-wheel drive with differential locks.

Standard safety features include 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, Stability Control, Traction control, Hill Start Assist and ISOFIX child safety seat mounts.
