2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport launched

Land Rover has launched the 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in India. The SUVs are priced at Rs. 1.74 crore and Rs. 99.48 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

As part of the facelift, the 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport get a new front grille, fender vents, redesigned clamshell bonnet and a choice of Matrix LED, Pixel LED and Pixel-laser LED headlights. On the inside, both SUVs get Land Rover's latest Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with a twin-touchscreen setup. A 12.3-inch screen replaces the conventional instrument panel. A colour head-up display and rear seat entertainment package is available as an option.

The Range Rover comes with a 60:40 split rear seat as standard. The optional Executive Class seating package adds a power deployable centre console, heated arm rest, calf rest and footrest. The long wheelbase version has 186 mm of additional legroom in the rear. Other features include panoramic sunroof, gesture controlled sun blinds, adaptive cruise control with queue assist, 4-zone climate control and a Meridian sound system.

The Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport are offered with a choice of 4 engines - a 3.0-litre, V6 diesel with 255 BHP and 600 Nm of torque, a 4.4-litre, V8 diesel with 335 BHP and 740 Nm, a 3.0-litre, supercharged V6 petrol engine with 335 BHP and 450 Nm and a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 petrol engine with 518 BHP and 625 Nm of torque. The Range Rover is available with a wheelbase option of 2,920 mm or 3,120 mm.

There are 7 driving modes and all variants come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with Terrain Response 2. Electronic air suspension, which can be raised or lowered depending on the road surface is also standard.
