2019 Yamaha FZ and FZS V3.0 launched

Yamaha has launched the third generation FZ and FZS in India. The 2019 FZ is priced at Rs. 95,000 and the 2019 FZS costs Rs. 97,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new FZ gets an LED headlamp similar to that of the FZ 25. It has a redesigned fuel tank with a plastic resin tank cover and a stepped seat. The handle bar position has been raised on both bikes. The FZS can be differentiated from the standard FZ from the lower engine fairing, partly chrome finished air intake and unique colour schemes. Both bikes feature a redesigned sub-frame.

The new Yamaha FZ and FZS are powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that delivers 13 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The updated braking setup consists of disc brakes at both ends. Single-channel ABS is also offered as standard on both models.

The Yamaha FZ V3.0 is available in two colour options - Metric Black and Racing Blue. The FZS V3.0 comes in three colour choices - Matt Black, Dark Matt Blue and a dual-tone shade of Gray & Cyan Blue.

In addition to the third generation FZ series, Yamaha has also announced the prices for the new FZ 25 and Fazer 25. Both bikes come equipped with dual-channel ABS and are priced at Rs. 1.33 lakh and Rs. 1.43 lakh respectively.
