2020 Toyota Corolla scores 5-stars in Latin NCAP crash test

The 2020 Toyota Corolla has scored 5-stars for adult and child occupant safety in Latin NCAP crash tests.

The car offered good protection to the head and neck of the driver and passenger. While the protection for the driver's chest was marginal, the protection for the passenger's chest was good. The car offered marginal protection for the driver's knees and good protection for the passenger's tibias.

In the side impact test, the car offered good protection to the head, thorax, abdomen and pelvis. The side pole impact test showed good protection for the head, abdomen and pelvis and marginal protection for the chest.

The rearward facing child seat offered good protection for a 3-year old during the frontal impact test. Both child dummies were well protected in the side impact.

The test car was equipped with front airbags, curtain airbags, side head airbags, side body airbags and knee airbags. It had seat belt pretensioners in the front, seat belt warning, ISOFIX anchor points, ABS and ESC.
