2021 Mercedes-Maybach S580 revealed

The most luxurious version of the S-Class is longer than the standard car and is powered by a V8 engine.

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new Maybach S580. It's the flagship variant of the W223 S-Class.

The Maybach S580 measures 5.5 meters in length and the wheelbase has been increased by 180 mm over the standard S-Class. The car comes with a dual-tone exterior with additional chrome surfaces to add to the premium look. It has Maybach specific chrome grille and a set of 21-inch wheels.

The Maybach S580 gets wider rear doors that can be operated electrically. The driver can operate the rear doors using the 'doormen' feature. The car has adjustable bucket seats with deployable leg rests. The seats have two recline settings - 19 and 44 degrees. Every seat has massage function, seat ventilation, heated armrests and door panels as well as a calf massager for rear seat footrest. The rear seat passenger can also adjust the front passenger seat to create additional legroom. There are two 11.6-inch monitors at the back.

The Executive Rear Seat package adds wood trims, full-length centre console, tray tables, and a champagne cooler with custom sold metal flutes.

The Maybach S580 is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It produces 496 BHP and 700 Nm and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The car comes with rear axle steering as standard.

Reports suggest that the Maybach S580 could be launched in India sometime next year.
