2021 Tata Tigor EV scores 4 stars in Global NCAP crash test

The Tigor EV is available in three variants and prices start at Rs. 11.99 lakh.

The 2021 Tigor EV has been awarded a 4-star safety rating by Global NCAP.

The Tigor EV is the first electric car that Global NCAP has tested. It was awarded 4 stars for both adult and child occupant safety.

The tests showed that the car offered good protection to the driver's head and adequate protection to the passenger’s head. The front passenger's neck showed good protection. The driver's chest showed adequate protection and the passenger's chest showed good protection as well. Driver and passenger knees showed marginal protection.

It was observed that rearward facing child seats with adult seatbelts were able to prevent excessive forward movement during the impact. Chest and head protection were good.

The test car was equipped with dual front airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners for the driver's seat, seat belt warning and ABS.
