Formula 1 has officially revealed the car for the 2022 season. The displayed car is a base model, around which, teams will build their 2022 challengers.

The 2022 car was showcased at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK, ahead of the British Grand Prix weekend. The next-generation iteration of the Formula 1 car features multiple cosmetic and technical changes.

The 2022 F1 car has a flat nose, aero covers on the wheels, a simpler front wing with large endplates and a unique rear wing. The car also features a new floor design and larger 18-inch rims with reworked tyre profiles.

The design changes reflect the updates in the technical regulations, which are expected to improve the car's aerodynamic efficiency, reduce drag and promote closer wheel-to-wheel racing. Apart from the cosmetic updates, the 2022 F1 car also comes with changes to the suspension, braking, powertrain and other areas.
