Land Rover has launched the 2022 Range Rover in India, with prices starting from Rs. 2.32 crore (ex-showroom).
The fifth-generation Range Rover is based on the new MLA-Flex platform. The SUV retains its stately look albeit with a few cosmetic updates. It now gets a set of sharper-looking LED headlamps and new LED taillights that blend into the design. The car still comes with a split tailgate and a floating roof.
The Range Rover is available in either 5 or 7-seat configuration. A long-wheelbase version is also on offer. On the inside, the SUV gets a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen infotainment head unit with the latest Pivi Pro system offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SUV also gets a digital instrument cluster and a pair of 11.4-inch touchscreen tablets for the rear passengers.
The new Range Rover is available with three engine options. These include a 3.0-litre petrol mild-hybrid with 394 BHP and 550 Nm, a 3.0-litre diesel producing 346 BHP and 700 Nm and a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 523 BHP and 750 Nm.
The SUV gets all-wheel-drive with Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system, Electronic Air Suspension, Dynamic Response Pro that uses eHorizon Navigation data to read the road ahead to prime the suspension and a new Tailgate Event Suite.
