2023 BMW M 1000 RR & M 1000 R revealed

The M 1000 RR gets aero winglets on the front that are said to generate 11 kg of downforce at 220 km/h.

BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off its flagship superbike, the 2023 M 1000 RR and its naked counterpart, the M 1000 R.

The BMW M 1000 RR and M 1000 R are the most hardcore, track-focused versions of the standard models. Both bikes get carbon fibre fairings, with the former getting aero winglets on the front that are said to generate 11 kg of downforce at 220 km/h.

The M 1000 RR also comes equipped with optional carbon wheels, carbon brake cooling ducts and even a carbon aero fairing for the front wheel. BMW also offers a slew of electronic aides like lean-sensitive electronics, riding modes, throttle and engine brake modes, launch control, pitlane limiter and hill hold; among others.

Powering the M 1000 RR and M 1000 R is a revised 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine that features a forged piston, CNC machined intake ports and BMW ShiftCam tech. On the M 1000 RR, the engine pumps out 210 BHP, while on the streetfighter, the engine is tuned to 207 BHP.
