2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS globally unveiled

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is priced at around 230,000 euros.

Porsche has taken the wraps off the latest-generation 911 GT3 RS.

The new 992 generation GT3 RS is the most track-focussed offering in Porsche's 911 range and comes with a host of mechanical and aerodynamic upgrades. In terms of the aero package, the new GT3 RS now comes with active wing elements at the front, L-shaped vents on the now-redundant frunk and multiple winglets and fins around the wheel arches.

However, the most prominent aero upgrade is the massive two-part spoiler at the rear with an adjustable top-wing, which functions similar to the DRS (Drag Reduction System) on an F1 car. The rear also comes with an updated diffuser with a centrally-mounted exhaust. Porsche claims that all the aero surfaces generate 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h; two times more than its predecessor.

Apart from the aerodynamic upgrades, Porsche also states that the new GT3 RS comes with a double-wishbone front axle with teardrop-shaped profiles and uses a multi-link setup at the rear with rear-axle steering.

Inside, the GT3 RS comes with a host of features and tech, including a digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen infotainment unit. The car features a pair of carbon-fibre bucket seats and a steering wheel which houses rotary dials to control various aspects of the car, including the drive modes. A roll cage is offered as part of the ClubSport pack. Porsche also offers the Weissach package on the GT3 RS, which includes plenty of additional carbon-fibre bits all around the car and other lightweight elements.

Powering the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-6 engine, producing 523 BHP and is paired to a 7-speed PDK transmission. The GT3 RS is capable of sprinting from 0 - 100 in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 296 km/h.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is priced at around 230,000 euros. While the order books are open, deliveries are expected to begin early next year.
