2023 Volvo XC40 & C40 Recharge get more power & range

Volvo plans to introduce the C40 Recharge in India next year.

Volvo has updated the XC40 and C40 Recharge EVs for the international market. The new versions get larger battery packs with a higher range and more powerful electric motors.

The XC40 and C40 Recharge models are now offered with an 82 kWh battery offering 32 km (single-motor) and 64 km (dual-motor) of additional range over the previous version. The cars now support up to 200 kW fast charging that can recharge the battery from 10-80% in just 10 minutes.

The single-motor versions of the XC40 and C40 Recharge now pack 235 BHP, up from 228 BHP. The dual-motor versions have the same overall output of 402 BHP, but the front and rear motors now produce 161 BHP and 242 BHP, respectively.

Volvo currently offers the XC40 Recharge in India. It is available in the dual-motor P8 variant. The carmaker plans to introduce the C40 Recharge next year.
