2024 Maruti Baleno scores a 4-star Bharat NCAP safety rating

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was also evaluated by Bharat NCAP. It fared better than the Baleno, scoring a 5-star rating.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been awarded a 4-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP. The hatchback scored 24.04 out of 32 points for adult occupant safety and 34.81 out of 49 points for child occupant protection.

According to the crash test report released by Bharat NCAP, the Baleno offered good protection to the head and neck in the front offset barrier test. The car offered adequate protection to the passenger, but chest protection for the driver was rated as marginal.

In the side movable barrier test, the car offered adequate protection to the head and abdomen, while chest protection was rated as marginal. The side pole impact test showed good protection for the occupants.

Dynamic tests were conducted with the use of child restraint systems. The Baleno received a dynamic score of 16.81/24 and a CRS installation score of 12/12. The vehicle assessment score was 6/13.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was also evaluated by Bharat NCAP. It fared better than the Baleno, scoring a 5-star rating.
