Skoda has confirmed that it plans to launch the Octavia RS in India this year. The sports sedan was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January. It was recently spotted at an underground parking lot.
Finished in the Hyper Green shade, one is unlikely to miss the Octavia RS even in an underlit parking space. The car presented at the Auto Expo also had the same exterior finish. The black grille, two-tone alloy wheels, and a black lip spoiler further accentuate the look of the car.
The Octavia RS uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 BHP and 270 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Octavia RS will be imported into India via the CBU route. It is expected to cost around Rs 50 lakh.
