2nd-gen Hyundai Xcent spotted in India

The second generation Hyundai Xcent compact sedan has been spotted testing in India for the first time.

The new Xcent appears to have a similar grille with V-shaped LED daytime running lights as the Grand i10 NIOS. It could get circular fog lamps and large sweptback headlamps. At the rear, the new model has LED tail lights, while the bumper appears to house a pair of reflectors.

The new Xcent is expected to get the same interior as the Grand i10 NIOS. It could be offered with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity options. The rear seats could get adjustable headrests and a centre armrest. Reports suggest that the new model could get different colour options for the seats.

The next generation Xcent could be available with BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines, while transmission options might include a manual and automated manual transmission (AMT).

Reports suggest that the new model is likely to be sold alongside the existing Xcent and may get a new name. The current generation Xcent could be sold to fleet operators in a lower trim.
