Skoda has launched the second-generation Kodiaq in the Indian market. The SUV is available in two variants: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K), with prices starting at Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Kodiaq is based on the MQB37 platform. It is 59 mm longer than the previous generation and has a ground clearance of 155 mm. It has three rows of seats with room for up to 7 people. The luggage space is rated at 281 litres, which increases to 786 litres with the third-row seats folded to the floor. Luggage capacity increases to 1,976 litres with both rear seats down.
The Kodiaq features a revised front grille, a split headlamp setup with L-shaped LED DRLs and C-shaped taillights connected by an LED light bar. The L&K variant gets Dark Chrome accents, while the Sportline trim gets Glossy Black highlights.
Inside, the new Kodiaq comes with the brand’s latest 2-spoke steering wheel and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. A large 13-inch floating touchscreen sits in the centre. Other features include 3-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function (L&K trim), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, 9 airbags and park assist.
The second-gen Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG and an all-wheel drive system.
The new Kodiaq is available in six colour options: Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, Velvet Red and Race Blue. The Bronx Gold and Steel Grey shades are exclusively available on the L&K and Sportline variants, respectively.
