3rd-gen Honda Amaze to be sold alongside old model

The old-gen Amaze is available in two variants: S and VX, priced at Rs 7.71 lakh and Rs 9.13 lakh, respectively.

Earlier this month, Honda launched the third-generation Amaze. However, the previous-gen model will continue to be sold alongside the latest version.

According to a media report, Honda is offering two variants of the second-gen Amaze: S and VX, priced at Rs 7.71 lakh and Rs 9.13 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. On the other hand, the 3rd-gen Amaze is priced at Rs 8 lakh, with the top-spec ZX CVT trim costing Rs 10.90 lakh.

That being said, both iterations of the Amaze use the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 89 BHP and 110 Nm. While the third-gen is available with a 5-speed manual and CVT, the previous-gen Amaze is only offered with a manual transmission.

Unlike its rivals, Honda doesn’t offer a CNG variant of the new Amaze either. However, customers can get a CNG kit fitted at the dealer level.
