4th-gen Nissan X Trail unveiled at 2021 Auto Shanghai

The new X Trail is based on the company's CMF-C platform.

Nissan has revealed the fourth generation X Trail at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show.

The new X Trail is based on the company's CMF-C platform. The same SUV is sold in some markets as the Nissan Rogue. The X Trail gets split headlight design with the main headlamps positioned lower down on the front bumper, and a V-Motion grille.

On the inside, the X Trail gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment head unit of the same size. The SUV also gets a 10.8-inch head-up display. Other features include a 3-zone automatic climate control system, semi-autonomous driving function and active noise cancellation.

In China, the X Trail will be offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 204 BHP and 300 Nm. The engine will be paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an all-wheel drive system.
