5th-gen Mercedes-Benz C-Class production begins in India

The new C-Class will be offered in 3 variants: C200, C300d and C220d.

Mercedes-Benz has started rolling out the fifth-generation C-Class from its Chakan facility. The new luxury sedan will go on sale on May 10, 2022.

The new C-Class will be offered in 3 variants: C200, C300d and C220d. Bookings for the C200 and C300d variants are currently open.

The new-gen C-Class gets a redesigned front fascia featuring new LED headlamp clusters and a reprofiled grille. At the rear, it gets sleek LED tail lamps. On the inside, it features a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a floating digital instrument cluster.

In India, the new C-Class will be offered with three engine options. These include a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel motor in two states of tune.
