8 years & 40,000 km with my Polo GT TSI; Ownership experience

My GT doesn't see much running thanks to me driving the Thar more (17k kms in its first year) and the media cars that come in.

BHPian Dippy recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

My little pocket turned 8 years old on the 2nd of October and the odo crossed the 40,000 km mark:

Nothing much to report here. The 4th ABS sensor conked a few days ago and I promptly got it replaced at a friend's FNG. So now all 4 sensors have been replaced over 8 years.

When the sensor went kaput:

My GT doesnt see much running thanks to me driving the Thar more (17k kms in its first year) and the media cars that come in as well. Had mentioned this in one of my earlier posts. The car drives beautifully even after all these years. Im a very sedate driver and I absolutely love cruising in this hatch. And it just feels so soildly built. Still running on the Yoko S Drives I fitted post delivery.

Love it for its simplistic nature. No screen madness, no connected car tech, no digital anything. Just pure driving pleasure.

GT TSIs have been up in demand in the preowned market and I have to admit I have quite a few friends and acquaintances asking if I want to sell. But I politely refuse. Its a keeper.

Took it for a drive on its birthday since it was a public holiday and it puts the same smile on my face like it did when it came home.

Couple of pics from the drive:

Next scheduled service is due end of December.

Signing off on that note.
