Aprilia RS 660 spotted at dealership ahead of launch

The RS 660 will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Honda CBR650R.

Aprilia is gearing up to launch the RS 660 middleweight bike in the Indian market. It seems the launch could be just around the corner, as the bike was recently spotted at a dealership in Bangalore.

The RS 660 is a fully-faired sports bike that is powered by a 659cc, parallel-twin engine producing 99 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm @ 8,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike features advanced features such as a 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS with 3-settings, bidirectional quick-shifter, cruise control, wheelie control, traction control and engine brake control. It has five riding modes - Commute, Dynamic, Individual, Challenge and Time Attack.

Aprilia is also said to introduce the Tuono 660 in India. It's a semi-faired version of the RS 660. The 659cc engine on the Tuono is tuned to produce 95 BHP and 67 Nm.

Both RS 660 and Tuono 660 are likely to be imported as completely built units (CBU).
