Ariel Nomad all-terrain vehicle revealed

The first images of Ariel's all-terrain vehicle - the "Nomad" have been released. The Nomad will make its public debut at the Autosport International show in January, 2015. The vehicle will use the Atom's mechanical layout including the ladder frame chassis, but will be tweaked for tackling off road tracks. Changes include a raised ground clearance, gumball tyres, a long travel suspension & a roll over structure with a windscreen.

Power is said to come from a Honda-sourced, 2.4-litre, four-cylinder unit that could deliver over 200 bhp. Transmission duties will be carried out by a 6-speed manual with a limited slip differential coming as standard fitment. The Nomad should tip the scales at around 700 kgs. Prices will begin at around £30,000 ( INR 29.65 Lakh approx ). While bookings will be accepted from January, customers can expect their deliveries mid-way through 2015.
