Audi e-tron electric SUV launched at Rs. 99.99 lakh

The Audi e-tron competes with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.

Audi has announced the launch of its first all-electric offering in India. The carmaker has launched the e-tron electric SUV in three variants - e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55. Prices start at Rs. 99.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Audi e-tron is based on the MEB platform. The SUV features a Singleframe grille finished in platinum grey at the front with Matrix LED headlights on either side. The rear lights have a continuous LED strip in the centre that adds a contemporary look. The Sportback gets a coupe-like roofline. The car rides on 20-inch Graphite Gray alloy wheels with orange brake calipers.

On the inside, the e-tron comes with a twin-spoke steering wheel with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. It has a touchscreen infotainment system with a 16-speaker, 705 W, Bang & Olufsen audio system, 30 colour ambient lighting, 4-zone automatic climate control, Air Quality package with two fragrances, panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera.

Audi e-tron specifications:

The Audi e-tron 55 and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 draw power from a 95 kW battery and have a claimed range of 359 - 484 km (WLTP combined). Both these cars produce 300 kW (402 BHP) and 664 Nm.

The Audi e-tron 50 draws power from a 71 kW battery and has a claimed range of 264 - 379 km (WLTP combined). It develops 230 kW (308 BHP) and 540 Nm. The vehicle comes with an 11 kW AC home charger and is capable of up to 150 kW DC charging.

  • Pre-sense Basic which tightens the seat belts, optimizes seat position and closes the windows and sunroof.

Audi e-tron warranty, service & charging benefits:

Audi is offering service plans ranging from 2 years to 5 years. Additionally, comprehensive service plans for either 4 years or 5 years will be available. These cover the cost of service, periodic maintenance of the brakes and suspension as well as extended warranty.

The cars will come with a standard warranty of 2 years and a High Voltage Battery warranty of 8 years / 1,60,000 km. Customers will be offered two extended warranty plans - 2+2 years and 2+3 years.

Customers who buy the e-tron in 2021 will receive two chargers - an 11 kW compact charger and an additional wall-box AC charger that can be set up at the customer's preferred location.

The company will be setting up 50 kW DC fast chargers at key dealerships across India in a phased manner. Early-bird customers will be able to charge their vehicles free of cost at any Audi dealerships through 2021.

Customers will be able to find the nearest charging stations, under the 'Chargers Near me' section on the 'myAudi Connect app'.
