Audi has revealed the all-new e-tron GT electric car. The four-door EV comes in two variants - regular and RS. It is priced from US$ 99,900 and will compete with the Tesla Model S.

The e-tron GT is a four-door sedan shaped like a coupe. It has a hexagonal single-frame grille flanked by LED headlights. At the rear, it gets arrow-shaped LED tail lamps with an LED light bar in the centre. The car is built using lightweight materials which includes a combination of aluminium, high-strength steel and even carbon fiber.

On the inside, the e-tron GT gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The leather-free design package comes with Econyl, artificial leather and Kaskade upholstery.

The RS variant gets Matrix LED headlights and comes with either 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. It is also equipped with air-suspension and tungsten carbide coated brake discs.

The e-tron GT uses two electric motors - one on each axle. The combined output is 469 BHP and 630 Nm. The overboost function ramps up the output to 523 BHP. The RS version packs 590 BHP and 830 Nm. The rear motor is mated to a 2-speed transmission.

Audi claims that the e-tron GT will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 245 km/h. The car uses an 85 kWh battery that is said to give a maximum range of 488 km on a single charge.

The RS version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. It has a maximum range of 472 km on a single charge.

Audi plans to launch the e-tron GT in India around the end of 2021.
