Audi launches A8 L facelift in India at Rs. 1.11 crore

German luxury carmaker, Audi has launched the facelifted A8 L sedan in India. The car has been priced at Rs. 1,11,43,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) / Rs. 1,12,95,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The facelifted A8 L features matrix headlamps comprising of 25 LEDs per unit that can be switched off or dimmed individually as needed, delivering 966,105,422 different illumination configurations. The company claims that the headlights can react to oncoming or preceding vehicles and, without blinding their drivers, continue to illuminate the road. Other changes include a restyled grille, bumpers and tail lamps.

Customers can also customise their Audi A8 L. There is a range of 111 exterior colours, 23 leather colours, 27 customisable parts and 12 wooden inlays. Additionally, the car can be ordered with personalised headrest logos, door sills and folding tables.

The interior of the A8 L features ventilated front seats with massage function and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. Other equipment includes adaptive air suspension, park assist, surround view camera, panoramic sunroof, air ioniser, head-up display, and wireless internet access.

Audi is offering the A8 L with a choice of one petrol (4.0 TFSI, 435 hp) and two diesel engines (3.0 TDI, 250 hp & 4.2 TDI, 385 hp). All variants are equipped with an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox and Audi's Quattro system.

The Audi A8 L will compete with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Jaguar XJ L.
