Audi Q2 to be launched on October 16

In India, the Q2 will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

Audi has announced that the Q2 will be launched in India on October 16, 2020. The carmaker has already started accepting bookings for the new SUV.

The Q2 is based on the MQB platform. It measures 4,191 mm in length, 1,794 mm in width, 1,508 mm in height and its wheelbase is 2,601 mm.

In India, the Q2 will be offered in 5 variants - Standard, Premium, Premium Plus 1, Premium Plus 2, and Technology. The SUV will come equipped with sports seat with leather upholstery and will get features such as exterior mirror auto-dimming, ambient lighting, Audi phone box, 8 speakers, Audi smartphone interface, Parking Aid Plus, Audi virtual cockpit, 2-zone automatic climate control and sunroof. The SUV will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the Q2 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 187 BHP @ 4,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1,500-4,100 rpm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The SUV comes with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system.
