Audi Q6 e-tron electric SUV to be assembled in India

The Audi Q6 e-tron will be the brand's first locally assembled EV in India

According to media reports, Audi plans to assemble the Q6 e-tron in India. The electric SUV will be imported via the CKD route, enabling Audi to price it competitively. It will be launched by the end of this year.

The Q6 e-tron has already been spotted testing in India. In fact, we recently got a chance to drive it as well. It is based on the VW Group’s Scalable Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture.

The Q6 e-tron comes with a 100 kWh battery pack that powers dual electric motors. Peak output is rated at 382 BHP, which enables the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds. Audi claims a maximum range of 625 km.

The EV is also available in a single-motor variant, offering a range of 641 km. An entry-level variant with a smaller 80 kWh battery pack is said to be in the works as well.

Audi is also expected to offer the sportier SQ6 e-tron in India, at a later date. Reports suggest that it might be launched in early 2025.
