Bajaj launches Avenger Cruise 220, Street 220 and Street 150

Bajaj Auto has launched the new Avenger cruiser motorcycle in India. The bike is available in three variants - Cruise 220, Street 220 and Street 150.

All the variants measure 2,177 mm in length and have a ground clearance of 169 mm. While the Street models measure 801 mm in width and 1,070 mm in height, the Cruise measures 806 mm and 1.142 mm in width and height respectively. The Cruise 220 and Street 220 have a wheelbase of 1,490 mm, whereas, that of the Street 150 is 10 mm shorter.

While the Cruise comes with lots of chrome bits, glossy paint, new graphics, 17-inch spoked wheels, and a cushioned backrest for the pillion, the Street models have matte finish paint jobs, 17-inch alloy wheels and a grab rails at the rear. The Cruise has a "highway comfort" handlebar, while the Street gets a "city control" unit.

All variants come with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, front disc brakes and 14-litre fuel tanks.

The Cruise 220 and Street 220 are powered by a 219.89cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, oil-cooled engine with an oil cooler that puts out 18.8 BHP @ 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm. The Street 150 uses a a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled unit that develops 14 .3 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 12.5 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm.
