Being Human e-cycles launched, priced from Rs. 40,000

Being Human has launched a new range of electric bicycles. The e-cycles are available in two variants - BH12 and BH27, priced at Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 57,000, respectively. Both variants are available in four colours - white, yellow, red and black. The company is also hoping to add more variants in the line-up in the future. Being Human is a brand run by Bollywood actor Salman Khan that works in the philanthropic areas of education and healthcare. The brand also has a clothing and accessories line-up that helps in supporting the said cause.

Being Human e-cycles use electric propulsion to assist the cyclist. The rider can change mode from manual to electric by using a switch button. This is claimed to reduce physical exertion during cycling, especially while climbing steep inclines.

Being Human claims that the e-cycles have been thoroughly tested in Indian conditions for around 1.5 years. The bikes have a company-claimed electric range of 30 km and a top speed of 25 km/h. Atul Gupta - former Suzuki Motor India Executive Vice President - has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Being Human e-cycles.
