Bergmann VoltAir Cordless + Corded 2in1 Portable Tyre Inflator: Review

I finalized Bergmann VoltAir after extensive research. I think it was a good purchase at reasonable price

Just like many of us in the community, I was also fade up of the tantrums while checking the tyre pressure at the fuel station and started my search for a portable tyre inflator.

I was searching for a reliable portable tyre inflator for my car, scooter, kids cycle, basket-ball etc.

I specifically wanted the one with hybrid operation - battery + 12V socket, the rationale was the battery powered one would be very convenient to quickly top up the air while the 12V connection would be fall back option if battery goes bad after warranty period or if I forget to charge the battery in case of emergency.

I finalized Bergmann VoltAir after extensive research - nothing against other tyre inflator brands, but the Bergmann brand name and reputation it carries due to Typhoon series of wired tyre inflators was reassuring.

The only limitation I noticed was that it came with thread type hose - which was known for losing some air while unscrewing the hose after topping up the tyre. I ordered ZIBUYU Universal Tyre Inflator Adapter to address this issue.

Overall Review:

I have been using the inflator along with mentioned nozzle for a couple of months now.

  1. It is absolutely accurate - I cross-verified it with multiple fuel stations.
  2. It is really fast - takes just a couple of minutes to top up all 4 car tyres: 2-3 PSI in each tyre.
  3. The battery holds charge quite well and can easily top up car - all 4 tyres, kids cycle, and a scooter at one go.
  4. The build quality seems good.
  5. It has the default modes like car, two wheeler, basket ball etc. But the most important point is - it also has a custom mode which is a default mode on each power on - you can set custom PSI in this mode and it retains those settings all the time.
  6. It accurately detects and displays current tyre pressure as soon as you connect the hose.
  7. It makes some noise while filling the air and also gets a bit hot after continuous operation, but nothing alarming.
  8. I tried the 12V operation just once to check if it works - it worked just fine.
  9. The ZIBUYU nozzle works like a charm. No air leakage, easy to operate, and excellent build quality - but the price is a bit on higher side.

I think it was a good purchase at reasonable price.
