Bid a tearful farewell to my Nissan Sunny after 13 years of ownership

Will always remember this car for the terrific space, great comfort levels and stupendously high fuel efficiency.

GTO recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Farewell to my Nissan Sunny . 13+ years since we got the Sunny home and it served us really well till about 2021. But after that, the car simply wasn't used. In fact, it was standing in the same place since years and had not even been started. Had thought of retaining it so my Bhabhi can learn how to drive on it, but my bro bought a pre-worshipped Rapid Petrol AT instead.

Needed the extra parking spot with so many test-drive / media cars coming in. Because the car hadn't been started in so long, the battery was beyond dead and the wheels were jammed! Tried with a different battery...even the ignition didn't light up. Got it towed away.

Will always remember this car for the terrific space, great comfort levels and stupendously high fuel efficiency. My garage is full of 6-7 kmpl guzzlers, so the Sunny was a pleasant change. On the other hand, it did have more part changes (within and after warranty) than I'd expect for a Japanese car.

Still, a great beater car and a decision we never regretted. It's been through hell, including two deep floods in our lane!
