AptEner Mechatronics Pvt. Ltd. - a Bangalore-based start-up has launched BluSnap - a wearable helmet cooler for full-face helmets. It is now available for pre-order at an introductory price of Rs. 1,899. Deliveries will commence by mid-March 2018.

BlueArmor's BluSnap is designed to fit a full-face helmet. It can be mounted on to the existing vent using a strap. The black reservoir holds water and houses a fan. On-board batteries power the fan, which sucks in air from the front. According to the company, on a full charge, the cooler can run for up to 10 hours. Also, it is claimed that the device can lower the temperature inside the helmet by as much as 6-15 degrees C while consuming less than 1 watt of energy. Besides, it comes in 5 strap designs.

This year, helmet manufacturer Vega Auto announced its partnership with BlueArmor. Both companies will work on next-generation of helmets that integrate BlueArmor's cooling technology into Vega's Axor line of helmets. The new helmets are expected to be launched later this year.
