BMW India teases the iX electric SUV

BMW India has released a teaser video of the iX electric SUV on social media.

BMW India has released a teaser video of the iX electric SUV on social media. The vehicle is expected to be launched on December 11, 2021.

The iX is based on an all-new aluminium spaceframe and is about the same size as the BMW X5 and is powered by two electric motors.

In international markets, the BMW iX comes in two variants - xDrive 40 and xDrive 50. The former comes with a 71 kWh battery pack that offers a maximum range of 414 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle). The dual motors have an output of 322 BHP and 630 Nm. The xDrive 50 variant uses a 105.2 kWh battery pack offering a maximum range of 611 km. This variant packs 516 BHP and 765 Nm and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The BMW iX will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-tron and the Jaguar I-Pace.
