BMW X7 M50d Dark Shadow Edition launched at Rs. 2.02 crore

Only 500 units of the X7 Dark Shadow Edition are being built for the entire world.

BMW has launched the X7 M50d Dark Shadow Edition in India. The SUV will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 2.02 crore (ex-showroom). It is available only on the BMW Online Shop.

So, what's special about the X7 Dark Shadow Edition?

The SUV is finished in the BMW Individual special paint called Frozen Arctic Grey metallic. The kidney grille, mirror bases and other exterior trim pieces get a black chrome finish.

The Dark Shadow Edition comes equipped with the M Sport package which adds a sporty body kit. It gets BMW Laserlight and 22-inch M light-alloy wheels with a V-spoke design finished in a Jet Black matt scheme. 

Interior

The Dark Shadow Edition comes in a 6-seat configuration with two captain seats in the second row. It has ventilated seats in the front. The interior is draped in BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery in two-tone night blue and black. The roof liner is in Alcantara, while Black Merino leather is used for the lower section of the instrument panel and on the front backrests. It gets Fineline Black with aluminium inlays and Piano Black trim with the edition logo.

The SUV is equipped with Sky Lounge panoramic sunroof, 5-zone automatic climate control and soft-close function for doors. It has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Further adding to the exclusivity are the glass inserts on the gear selector, iDrive control wheel and audio control and engine start / stop button.

Engine & Transmission

The X7 M50d Dark Shadow Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 395 BHP @ 4,400 rpm and 760 Nm @ 2,000-3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. BMW claims the car will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

The Dark Shadow Edition also gets an M Sport exhaust system, M Sport differential, Adaptive 2-axle air suspension and driver assistance systems like head-up display, parking assistant plus with a 360-degree camera and reversing assistant.
