Bridgestone pumps in Rs. 350 Cr to make upto 20k tyres daily

Bridgestone has invested Rs. 350 crore to expand the production capacity of its Indore plant. By 2020, the capacity is expected to increase to more than 20,000 tyres per day.

Bridgestone's Indore plant is spread over 76 acres. It produces radial tyres for passenger cars and serves various OEMs and aftermarket businesses in the passenger vehicle segment.

Bridgestone started its operations in India in 1996. The manufacturing plant in Kheda, Madhya Pradesh was setup in March 1998. The company's second unit is located at Chakan near Pune, Maharashtra. It was set up in 2013.
