BYD eMax 7 electric MPV to be launched on October 8

The BYD eMax 7, also known as the M6 in the global markets, is the replacement for the e6.

BYD has announced that the eMax 7 electric MPV will be launched on October 8, 2024. It will replace the e6 MPV in the brand’s lineup.

The BYD eMax 7, also known as the M6 in the global markets, will come with several cosmetic updates, primarily to the front and rear fascia. The MPV gets new sleeker-looking LED headlamps with a silver insert in the centre and a redesigned front bumper, while the rear gets slim LED taillights connected by an LED light bar.

The overall design of the interior is similar to the outgoing e6. However, it does get a larger central touchscreen, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. The eMax 7 is expected to get three-row seating as well.

The BYD eMax 7 is likely to be offered with the same 71.8 kWh battery pack as the e6. It will power an electric motor with an output of 201 BHP and 310 Nm and is said to have a range of up to 520 km on a single charge.
