BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV to be launched on February 17

The BYD Sealion 7 will be offered in two variants: Premium RWD and Performance AWD.

BYD India has announced that its new EV, the Sealion 7, will be launched on February 17. The car was recently showcased at the Auto Expo.

The BYD Sealion 7 is an electric SUV. It will be offered in two variants: Premium RWD and Performance AWD. Bookings have already commenced, and customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs 70,000. Deliveries will begin in March.

The Sealion 7 has the signature BYD front fascia, featuring sweptback LED headlamps with LED DRLs and flared wheel arches with black cladding. In the rear, the EV features wraparound LED taillights connected by an LED light bar, a roof spoiler, and a two-tone rear bumper.

On the inside, the Sealion 7 comes with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen and a flat-bottom steering wheel with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV also gets features like electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, 2-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker audio system, a head-up display, and ADAS.

The Premium RWD variant has a single rear-mounted electric motor that makes 308 BHP and 380 Nm, while the AWD version has a dual-motor setup producing 523 BHP and 690 Nm. Both variants will be offered with an 82.5 kWh battery pack.
