Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in 2020

The Citroen C5 Aircross will be the first product from the French automaker for the Indian market. The SUV will be launched before the end of 2020. The company has said that it plans to launch a new model every year from 2021. The Citroen Dealer Partner Live Tour will begin from July 1, 2019.

The Citroen C5 Aircross will be built at the Tiruvallur factory, which is a joint venture between the PSA Group and the CK Birla Group. The SUV is based on the PSA EMP2 platform. It measures 4,510 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,705 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,730 mm.

The C5 Aircross features a split grille design with split headlamps that have two LED daytime running light strips on top. The dual-tone front bumper has trapezoidal pods that are finished in a contrasting shade. The car has roof rails and blacked-out A, B and C-pillars, while a C-shaped chrome trim runs along the edges of the windows. The rear features wraparound tail lights and a dual-tone bumper with integrated exhausts. The SUV gets chunky body cladding on the sides and it rides on dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside, the C5 Aircross gets dual-tone interiors with a touchscreen infotainment system. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.

Citroen is yet to confirm the engines that will power the C5 Aircross in India.
