Citroen to debut eC3 Aircross electric SUV by 2025

The eC3 Aircross will be positioned above the eC3 hatchback and will compete with the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX electric SUV.

Laurent Barria, Marketing & Communications Director at Citroen, has confirmed that the upcoming C3 Aircross will get an EV derivative. The all-electric eC3 Aircross is expected to debut by 2025.

Citroen has been working on the C3 Aircross for quite some time now and is expected to be launched in India later this year. Initially, the SUV will be available with a petrol engine, with the EV being introduced at a later stage.

The eC3 Aircross will be based on Citroen’s eCMP platform, which also underpins the eC3. The former is expected to come in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, along with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and other creature comforts.

The eC3 Aircross will be positioned above the eC3 hatchback and will compete with the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX electric SUV.
