Citroen to reveal its first model for India on April 3, 2019

The PSA Group is planning to introduce the Citroen brand in India and is set to reveal its first model on April 3, 2019.

The Citroen DS 7 Crossback and C5 Aircross have already been spotted in the country, which suggests that the carmaker might be evaluating these models for India.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is based on the PSA EMP2 platform. In the international market, the SUV is available with 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre diesel engine options, which come with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmissions. In China, the C5 Aircross is offered with either a 1.6-litre or 1.8-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The DS 7 Crossback is a slightly larger SUV that comes with 1.6-litre and 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engines that are paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
