Close look at the Mahindra XUV500's flush-fitting door handle

The flush-fitting door handles of the Mahindra XUV500 are different what we have seen in the Tesla Model 3 and the Range Rover Velar.

A new image of the second-gen Mahindra XUV500 gives us a closer look at the car's flush-fitting door handles.

In the XUV500, the door handles are hinged at the front, while the rear pops out. In contrast, the handles of a Tesla Model 3 are hinged at the rear while the front pops out. In the Range Rover Velar, the entire door handle pops out.

The XUV500 is also expected to get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including features like adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning.

The SUV could be offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion T-GDi turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. Reports suggest that the new model could be sold alongside the current generation XUV500.
