Dakar bike-inspired KTM 390 Adventure spied

The rally variant could use the same 373cc engine that powers the standard 390 Adventure.

KTM is testing a new variant of the 390 Adventure. It appears to be inspired by the Dakar rally bikes and could be aimed at hardcore off-road enthusiasts.

The most distinct feature of the rally variant is the shape of the fairing upfront. It has a large windscreen and a digital instrument cluster. The raised handlebars should offer better control while negotiating rough terrain.

The suspension components and brakes seem to have been carried over from the standard 390 Adventure. The test bike seen in this image is fitted with off-road tyres.

The rally variant of the 390 Adventure could use the same 373cc, liquid-cooled engine as the standard bike. It produces 43 BHP and 37 Nm.
